I’m a book editor with nearly two decades of experience in academic, educational, and professional publishing. My career has included in-house acquisitions and editorial work with organizations ranging from large publishers and associations to university presses, including Corwin, ASCD, and Teachers College Press, as well as freelance editorial work for publishers such as the University of Minnesota Press, Peter Lang, and Pearson. That breadth of experience has given me a strong understanding of how books are developed, shaped, and prepared for publication—and what publishers and authors need from an editor at each stage of the process.

 

As a freelance editor, I specialize in copyediting, proofreading, and select editorial services for university, academic, and professional publishers. I work across disciplines including education, history, philosophy, global studies, gender studies, communications, science, and and media studies, with the goal of helping publishers produce clear, polished manuscripts that retain the integrity of the author's ideas and voice. My approach is careful, collaborative, and responsive to the needs of each project, including the press’s editorial standards, schedule, and budget.
